I studied Musical Instrument Technology in the 1980s, and then trained in modern woodwind repairs while working for John Packer's Woodwind Shop in Taunton in the 1990s.

After moving to rural Cambridgeshire in 2011 I have set up my own workshop where I lovingly restore vintage saxophones for sale and make medieval and renaissance woodwind instruments. I am also the musical director of the New Cambridge Waits, who perform Renaissance and Medieval music or period instruments.

I no longer repair modern woodwinds for the public.
